Cardboard Charlie Onstage

As well as producing music and visual arts events, Cardboard Charlie has produced three seasons of short plays from the collection to whom it may concern and other plays by Melbourne Playwright, Daniel Keene. The third - Seasons of Keene - Below the Line, Starring Pat Gordon and Matt Borneman -recently toured to the Melbourne Fringe Festival before returning to Canberra for a week long season at The Street Theatre.

CC’s first season of Keene’s plays, Seasons of Keene – The Given was performed at the Street Theatre in 2005 and consisted of to whom it may concern, starring Matt Borneman and David Ives, and neither lost, nor found, starring Tain Stangret and Naomi Milthorpe. We then produced and directed a second season for the National Multicultural Fringe Festival in 2006 entitled Seasons of Keene – I Alone, consisting of two monologues from the collection, kaddish, starring Peter Damien Hayes, and the rain, starring Lilliana Bogatko. Loadedog Enterprises

An ad to kick things off…

As you probably know, Loadedog offers many services to local bands, through the on-line and email gig guide, Culturazi, through the Backyard Backanalia, and by documenting the local music scene in photographs, video and the weekly podcast, Insatiable Banalities.

But did you know that Loadedog also has a top quality mid-sized vocal p.a. for hire? And that we have a lovely little digital recording studio hidden in  Canberra’s suburbs? We’re also happy to build web sites for bands, do graphic design for posters, CD’s etc, shoot scenes for music videos and do photo shoots for promo.

All the above are available at very reasonable prices. Loadedog is an exercise in ’social entrepeneurship’. We don’t want to make lots of money. We just want to make lots of good music and art. Email us to discuss your project (contact details on the site).
